Well off to the event.

PS3 V.S. Xbox 360
It seems as if while the Wii was dumb successful the debate at least in my mind hasn't really changed just evolved from PS2 VS Xbox to PS3 VS 360...
In the first battle i opted for a PS2, but i' not sure anymore.
this is all the info I've gathered from doing some research.
In one corner We have the guys that brought us Halo

In the other We have the guys who dominated the video game world in the 90's

PRICE-
The 360's 60 Gigabyte console is about $299
Ps3's 80 Gigabyte console is about $399
GRAPHICS-
The XBOX 360 is a clear winner. The GPU is more powerful. It has more powerful
fillrate, and far more pixel and vertex processing horsepower. Part of the reason is
their choice of memory, and architecture of pixel and vertex processing.
GAME SELECTION-
The XBOX 360 has a huge head start here. 1 year is an eternity in gaming. Almost all multi-platform developers have made the XBOX 360 their primary platform due to timing of release-to-market, this means the games will look and perform better on the 360. The PS3 versions will be ports of the 360 versions. (The opposite was true for XBOX 1 vs. PS2).
what do ya think??

The 80's Must of Been Dope
Since i was born in 1990 everything before 1995 is pretty fukin blurry.
And i really didn't get into music until 1998 and heavy in 2001 so everything before that at least for me wasn't listened to until my teen years.
With That Said, A couple days ago i was on a Late 80's hip hop binge that included -
Audio Two - "What More Can I Say"
Beastie Boys - "License To Ill"
Biz Markie - "The Biz Never Sleeps"
Biz Markie - "Goin' Off"
Black Sheep - "A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing"
Boogie Down Productions - "By All Means Necessary"
Boogie Down Productions - "Criminal Minded"
Boogie Down Producitons - "Ghetto Music: The Blueprint of Hip Hop"
De La Soul - "3 Feet High and Rising"
EPMD - "Business Never Personal"
EPMD - "Unfinished Business"
Gang Starr - "No More Mr. Nice Guy"
Jungle Brothers- "Straight Out The Jungle"
MC Lyte- "Eyes On This"
Public Enemy - "It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back
Public Enemy - "Yo! Bum Rush The Show"
Run DMC - "King of Rock"
Run DMC - "Raising Hell"
Ultramagnetic MC's - "Critical Beatdown"
Most of with I was already familiar with.
All which i sincerely recommend.
BTW i did not forget Slick Rick, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, and Kool G Rap, its just there albums be on replay on the day to day.

"Sorry But I Cant Buy Your Album Because I'm A Rapper Too"
WTF??
First of all Shout Outs to The Black Moon Reunion show at the knitting factory Nov. 8Th, it was packed shit sounded dope from the back of the bar. Great Night.
But yo, whats really good with rappers man? emcees too... is there no honor among thieves? I understand we are competitive, egotistical, and arrogant athletes but I mean if your not gonna support other artist at least logically explain it. While people are on lines to see shows its not uncommon for unsigned or independent artist to try and sell a product they worked hard to develop. And i agree there are a lot of artist out there and its not easy to buy everything you come across. But on that night Nov. 8Th my fellow Epifanite Live was working the line and ran into a cat who looked to be in his mid 30's who just happen to spit. Now he didn't want to purchase the album and you know what? that's cool. And I felt that Live should of left it at that, but the hustle in him never says die and the more this guy spoke the more he looked like an asshole.
In what world are you not doing music for the love if you turn around and try to get compensated for your time and energy to make the best possible product at that time on super low resources? And While I have to say Illmatic and Reasonable Doubt are amongst hip hop heads typical finds on the top albums of the 90's list; to say its a generic and predictable cite of influence in my generation is fucking bullshit. Go to high schools in the city that birthed hip hop right now i would love to see the numbers. Niggas don't know nas and jay for illmatic and RD, the kids i grew up with mostly know them for Ether and Takeover. But back to the topic at hand how much of an asshole do you have to be to think that promoting yourself at local venues is a sign of insecurities with your talent? I mean I don't want to come off sounding rude but thinking that just being nice is good enough to gather a fan base is probably the exact reason why music was just your hobby.
Moral Of The Story Is: Music comes from the soul and the heart. The Humans mind, body, and soul all must be satisfied to work effectively on their own. If your using your talent, gift, and blessings to feed yourself and maintain your sanity this in no way negate or question anything in terms of your creative musical integrity. And arrogant fuck boys who feel that way can eat a dick and die in there mothers arms...

I'm A Scorpio Bitch!
What Up??
For those that dont know my names Kanoe and i'm 1/3rd of an aspiring hip hop group known as Epi-F-Any, born and rasied in brooklyn, intelligent, well mannered, humble, and of course Lyrcist Extrodinare. Guess What? Its November 1st 2008, and this my first post on blogspot.com. Excited? Now while i assure you my incentives for creating a blogspot are 60% boredom, I feel theres a certain significance to me starting one on the first day of my birth month. Speaking of birthdays, November 21st I turn 18, allthought i been lookin like i'm 23 since the age of 15. Anyway, I remember the times spent desperately anticipating my 18th birthday like on that day everything would magically makes sense, who knows maybe it will. But i wouldnt count on it however there are a few things i can expect, something along the lines of picking up a few vices...
like spending 8 dollars on a pack of newports and stretching the 12 bucks you got left the whole week.
Or enjoying a wonderful 2 pm weekday brunch(preferably a tuesday) at your local strip club..Any Suggestions on wonderful stip joints would be apperciated :)
Oh yeah nd my personal favorite expectation, loosing my health insurance due to 1. taking up a remidial math course that equates to 0 credits 2. dropping my speech class. Both valid reasons to why if i get rushed to a hospital after being shot in the head the nearest recpetionist should escort me to the exit.
Its not all negative though it also means that i'll be forced to make a choice between music nd w/e else shit is out there. I tried college, still attend college, i got a test i did not prepare for in like 6 hours... music is definitley for me. But thanks to you no good pro-piracy music leechers like myself in order to pursue this career i'd have to sacrafice a shitload, nothing to serious just your basic means of survival i.e. food & sleep. My fellow Epif-a-nites Live nd Kingpin feel the same way too. However Live has been working for dumb long now and has like 4 jobs and Pin went away to school out in the boonies of long island, creating totally different situations. Hopefully a job will be in my near future nd the possiblities of livving on my own become more tangible. That being the first step into doing music full time. Which will inevitably lead into me smashing up and commers, veterans, and legends alike...
Well until next time...signing off
